But even the numerous bays, grottos and beaches are in the immediate vicinity; many beaches can be reached via fascinating hiking trails and the cliff paths of Lagos.
The Algarve spoils with a Mediterranean climate, with more than 3000 hours of warm sunshine per year. Of course, it rains at the Algarve. How else is it possible that there is such flowerage? The periods of rain in “winter” and spring are intense, but short.
